The Braintree Police Department is a Civil Service agency. The department hires based off of the Civil Service Exam List. The exam is given every two years. Visit the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Civil Service Unit to learn more. Police vacancies are pulled from a pool of candidates from the Town of Braintree Civil Service exam list. Following an application process and rigorous background investigation, candidates are given a conditional offer of employment and attend a MPTC approved police academy.
