The Special Operations Division of the Braintree Police Department consists of K-9, Traffic and Motorcycle units. 
The department currently has 4 K9 Handlers; two specialized in patrol and one in narcotics. The third patrol dog will begin training soon, and will be deployed in the Fall 2010. The Traffic Division’s mission is to investigate serious traffic crashes, motor vehicle safety and traffic enforcement.  The department has 5 motorcycles which are deployed during the summer months and during special events such as parades and funerals.
